Aston Martin

So I saw this ad and really liked it. But, I saw it whilst flicking through a magazine, meaning it had my attention for about 1 second. In that 1 second, an impression has to be made that lasts. The tagline is great, but I felt it needed to be condensed to get a point across. Many people won’t stop to think about the meaning, they’ll be sold more on the sound of the words and the presence of them on the page.

So, I changed it to ‘Artistic Ingenuity’ to condense the message and also portray a more elegant and artistic car, with an ingenious edge which people would be intrigued to learn more about. It’s more direct, confident and loud. The car is a piece of art for Aston Martin, and buying one is meant to be on par with buying an expensive painting. But, I didn’t want the technical underlying message to be drowned out by the creative one. So, artistic for the elegant and beautiful dimension, and ingenuity, for the amazing technology and cutting edge design. A beautiful fusion, in my opinion.
